Lost and a long way from home, a fishing guide has a vision of retribution. Eyes above watch as he rides his motorcycle into the lush setting sun. Lost in the moment, a giant fishhook pulls him off course. He contorts and twists in a panic state to maintain balance, but a dead fish makes the road slippery, while another fish becomes his front tire. Areas of flat treatment juxtaposed against contoured shapes, pull the viewer in as diagonal motion lines keep things fast and direct traffic. The looming tragedy sends the rider’s face into a tangled angst as he crashes out of the painting. Payback is a bitch.
